Letter To Our Members

Dear Hanson.net Members,
We want to thank you for your patience with us over the last year regarding our plans for Hanson.net membership. We recognize this change has created a lot of questions, and we have not shared a lot of answers, and for this we apologize.
After 25 years it feels like it is time to rethink Hanson.net and its membership. When we started Hanson.net back in 2000, it was not just a fan-club, but an internet service provider offering dialup internet access and webspace to our members. Over the years Hanson.net has grown and changed in countless ways that we could have only hoped for. Hanson.net has been a space for live streams, a gateway to destination events, and a walled garden for our creativity, now home to a catalog of more than one hundred songs released to Hanson.net members as part of the annual member EPs.
The digital world today is not like it was when we started, and truthfully, we are very different from the 14, 16, and 18-year-olds that began this journey. What we plan to do might seem counterintuitive, but when has that ever stopped us?! After March 31st we will no longer offer Hanson.net memberships. Hanson.net will go forward as a news and information website and we will continue sharing everything about HANSON - new concerts, upcoming events, an updated store, and whatever else comes in the future.
When we started Hanson.net, we had no idea its legacy would be YOU. Thousands of like-minded music fans creating such an active close-knit community. It is a testament to you that Hanson.net has stayed so strong for so many years, and we hope that you will continue to treasure the relationships you have built with one another as much as we value our relationship with all of you. Thank you for being the greatest fans a band could ever ask for!
We have compiled answers to some of the most asked questions about Hanson.net. We look forward to seeing you all at a show this year, and thank you for listening.

The archive will remain, but as far as I understand it, anything members only will be turned off after March 31st until a further decision is made about content.

Well, just to say that if there was an option to keep paying the annual fee for continued access to the members only stuff… I’m 💯 in. I know others would… even if new stuff wasn’t added. I need to take time off till the end of March to catch up otherwise. 🫣😬

Thank you for this update. A lot of answers to questions we've been asking since last spring; it's appreciated. Does this mean that everything that has so far fallen under the members' content will disappear from the site (or be hidden), including all of the reporter interviews, Gallery videos and photos etc? As it is, as a paying member for more than 15 years I'm not even sure how much of this content has been members only, so I guess I'll need to have a look around at what will go away. And another pressing question on my mind: are there plans to bring BTTI back? Is it on a break due to the circumstances with the resort, or is the answer to it the same as with Hanson Day? If there is no chance for BTTI 2027, I'd just appreciate an official word on it.

I second LucieC -- I'd pay to keep the access, or to be able to download the members's archive. I didn't have the time or energy to go back through some of it this year like I meant to and I don't think there's any chance I'll get to everything I wanted to catch up on by the end of March.

I agree with LUCIEC with regards to members only content. If you all want to have an annual fee for the "members only content" - I am in.
(I try to keep up on blogs, pictures, all those videos, HTP when I can, but I have yet to watch/listen to everything in these areas)

"New concerts, upcoming events" - I do like these four words, and therefore I will happily renew my US visa (because, I guess, that's where the gigs will be happening most of the time).
OK, so every video in the gallery will go ino the vault? OK, screen recording it is. For personal use!
Are the brothers planning to write new music together ever again? Yes or yes?

🎶 Bitter Sweet plays 🎶 for what it’s worth, I’m another vote for paying nominally for you to guardrail off existing members-only content, but I also understand that you may have other intentions for a future state ♥️
In the meantime, looking forward to upcoming gigs! Great to have some things musical to look forward to 😊

I'd be willing to pay an annual fee for all of this content here, too. Or maybe a monthly one if the band is still considering options on what to do with all the members music and other content. A monthly fee would allow flr continued access until something else is decided 🙏
