Given that Captain America Civil War has only been out for a few days a lot of you might not have seen it yet, some of you might not even be interested in seeming it. If you are on the fence let me tell you now it's great!
The story is about a conflict between the UN and the Avengers. After yet another even with collateral damage the UN tells the Avengers they either work for them, or they become criminals. Iron Man agrees and Captain America walks. Don't let the movie title mislead you, Captain America Civil War is really the next Avengers film, and in my opinion it is the best Avengers movie yet! The story takes the right amount of time as it work towards each epic superhero showdown, and gives justifucation for each conflict as the battles ratchet up to the films climax.
If you are a fan of the original Civial War comic story line you might be disappointed, but at the same time you probably figured out a long time ago that the majority movie goers are not following the unending plot lines, alternate universes and theoretical battles that crowd the shelves of comic book stores… nor would Marvel benefit from high lighting the death of Black Goliath, unmasking Petter Parker or sending Steve Rogers to prison.
Civil War can’t help but benefit from the contrast that it has against Batman VS Superman. Not only the fact that Batman VS Superman fell flat on it’s face for Fans and critics alike but also that fact that Civil War is a genuinely good movie. Batman VS Superman felt dark and pointless and self inflicted, Civil War felt inevitable and endearing and purposefilled. I wasn’t anticipating a new Captain America film with batted breath, but after this I can’t help but be excited for what is to come next.
