This week is an important one. Most importantly, as we close the door on the specific season of the Hanson.net membership, we are thinking about two words, THANK YOU. Your engagement, connection and trust in us has allowed us to realize crazy dreams and to put into the world some melodies and stories that we hope leave the world just a little bit better than it was before. The community of Hanson.net has been at the heart of our pursuit of sharing music and we are so honored so many of you have helped cultivate something so much more than a web site or a fan club. It really has been a community and one that we hope we can re-imagine.
We are planning a lot of changes on the site and the community but what is unchangeable is the incredible connection we all gain through music. What a gift to make music that we all can sing along to. We know what it is to be inspired by the sound of rock ’n’ roll, and the dream we have been chasing for over 30 years. It is amazing is we have been able to share so much of that dream with you.
As we shared last week, you can expect more shows this year coming to places mostly across the US in 2026. As we reorganize and re-imagine some of the web site content as well, we will be keeping you up to date via email, but we expect it to be a bit more on a project basis, built around new announcements and upcoming activities instead of the weekly blasts we have done for years. As we re-think a lot of things, we are excited to open new doors and put our heads in the mindset of new beginnings and we hope you will too.
Whether we are sharing a song for the first time or someone is joining a concert who has never seen one before, there is real power in remembering that fresh feeling of the new. On that theme, you can check out this week's Stories Blog which will be available to the public Hanson.net. It is all about the idea of new frontiers and embracing the first time. The first step, the first song, the first flight, the first introduction to a new person or place. You can’t discover the things you love without first embracing the new.
Excerpt from Stories Part 22. From Us To You
When we first played a gig I can remember the trembling in my feet. It was a mix of energy, excitement and what I hardly recognized as ‘nerves’ because I was so happy to be in that moment. I remember looking to my right and my left at my two brothers. We didn’t have to know what was going to happen tomorrow because we had the blind optimism and belief that our desire to sing and get on stage was worth the time of the audience we hoped would show up. Maybe ignorance is bliss, or maybe bliss is loving something so much you look past the fear, but no so far that you think about the things too far ahead. You live right here, on the stage, in the moment with the challenge in front of you, and the challenge just feels like a joyful leap. One way or another, there is no trick to get you to the next show, you can’t skip the first time.”
We can feel the warmth of spring coming with summer right behind it and we can feel the excitement of sharing things. We have a lot to celebrate so far and we have no doubt a lot more still to look forward to. We’ve done some things a million times, and learned what works well (and some of what does not). We also have many things left to do, you can’t skip the first time!
Thank you for hanging with us through a lot of seasons in the Hanson.net community, there are more cool things to come. Thank you for joining us on the journey, so far.
Thanks For Listening

Absolutely breaking my heart during one of the most difficult times of my life... Hanson is so ingrained in every part of me. I still have my massive memorabilia collection on display in my home. I have a Hanson tattoo. I'm know for wearing only Hanson and Disney tops. I've had many Hanson theme named pets, and even my 3rd son is named ZAC, after our favorite drummer. The last show I got to see, San Francisco 2022, I was pregnant with Zac. His father and I had been together over 16 years, and he got down on one knee during the finale "Every Word I Say", and proposed. Zac, and all my kids, love Hanson too! Unfortunately, they recently witnessed domestic violence and their father being arrested. It's been an absolutely devastating time, with all the things we've found out and all that's happened since. I've been listening endlessly and it's no joke when lifelong fans like us say how life changing losing this space will be. I will miss this so much. Hoping for Better Days ahead, and wishing you all the very best! All my love, forever and always!
