HANSON: Music Is Connection

This week in HANSON we are working on what comes next for the year, mostly inside the 3CG shop. Out in the larger music business, our creative industry gathered in LA for the Grammy Awards and millions of people joined in to help generate funds for the relief effort following the devastating fires in Los Angeles. We see the generosity of fans and the power of community all the time, but it is never more clear than in the wake of tragedy just how important community is. As a part of my (Taylor) role as an elected leader from Oklahoma (part of the Texas Chapter), I saw the action firsthand and as always, was inspired by the deep community of creators who are there serving their fellow members from one of the 12 Academy Chapters.
I have seen the power of community on HNet for 25 years and it is inspiring. It is also encouraging to see that even with the glitz and glamor of the biggest night in music, at the heart of it is still a love of the simple thing we would do no matter if it was in a coffee shop or an arena. Songwriting is story-telling. It allows you to take another person through an experience you have had (or something that you imagine). Recording is a chance to perfect the performance and crystalize it for the ages. It is a chance to capture something exactly as you would hope for the world to see and rediscover for many years to come. Performing is about the shared experience. When you are standing in the room as either a fan or a performer there is power to the fact that the music is being created and shared in that very moment, at that very place. In whatever form it comes, Music Is Connection.
Some quiet days continued in February, but we do have some fun things around the corner. Wherever you are, we hope you had a great week.

If anyone cares Victoria the state where I live in Australia has multiple fires right now itโs bad sky has been Smokey and the sun has a bright red orange colour I myself have seen some very bad fires over the years starting with Ash Wednesday of 1983, 1985 where the fire jumped a freeway my dad and brother and our dog just got thought on the free way just before it did, 2003, 2009 black Saturday and 2020 Ash Wednesday and black Saturday were the worseย

Robin if you go to the merch page under membership itโll likely go there at some point today. Also they really donโt have to give us more than they already haveโฆthe EP, access to 200+ songs not on Spotify, and a chance at virtual meet and greets is already more than youโll get from being a fan club member for just about any other bandโฆthe entitlement is astounding to me in this fandom as a whole. Yes they cater to us a great deal but we should be grateful not demanding.ย

I can't even begin to imagine what it's like for you to be in a room full of people that you admire and look up to in the music industry, and to get to be a part of what's happening in the room. That must be pretty surreal for you, but it's also great to see to you in the position that we (fansons) often get to find ourselves in โ always amazed at the performance in front of us on stage and the combined sense of connection!ย

Thereโs nothing new the membership unless they will give us the months the concerts are going to be? Whatโs else that is new? Same thing every year. Back to the island, Hanson day and Disney what else?

Other groups does things; the back street boys does 90 con, 98 degrees does Disney. New kids on the block does back to the island like Hanson does cause I seen it on access Hollywood. So you are wrongย
