Lately I've only been seeing Marvel or comic movies in the theatre - it may be good to change it up!

A few days ago we had a day off in Cleveland, so I took a quick look at the landscape and decided I should see a movie. The good thing about movies and tour, after spending all day everyday together whether backstage or on the tour bus it is not really taboo to take in a movie alone. I simply broadcast my intentions in a group text that looked something like this.
Well, I'm a dude (depending how you define that), and I'm much more into the soppy stuff. Tugs at my heartstrings more. (just to clarify, Hunger Games falls in that category). I never follow these kinds of plots anyway... went to see Black Mass on Friday and I was totally lost. But give me
Glad you liked it.

Those are the kind of movies among many others I like but I don't get to the theater to often. Sounds like Isaac was looking for some quite, down time too. It's always good to have someone to talk about the movie with after seeing it.

lol....so Ike never responded to that group text I assume? And I love dude-friendly films, especially FBI themed ones. Will look this one up. Thanks for the recommendation!

I love Josh Brolin and Benicio Del Toro. I'll definitely check it out! Thanks for the review!
So, you were meeting Isaac at the movies or he just happened to be there? Lol!

That's great that you and Isaac saw a movie without really planning to together that is. But yes you guys deserve down time to and I myself don't get to the movies cuz of it being exspensive and what not, but will have to look this movie up or maybe Netflix to.

Dude,...we have movie Tuesdays here. You have to be a rewards member (free to sign up) but it's any movie for $5 with free popcorn...and all the theaters have reclining 'dreamloungers'! I saw the trailer for Sicario. It looked good. Thanks for the review!
Last week we saw "Pan". I know you would probably say a movie can't have too much action, but this one had so much going on all over the screen, all the time, that I just wanted to close my eyes to make it stop... It's probably a good thing I'm not a gamer.

Thanx for the hint Zacy, I will go see this movie soon too :). I guess you will like Youth too. xxx

I've seen this movie! I went with my husband. I think the first half it was a great thriller and Roger Deakins cinematography with that soundtrack was incredible. Unfortunately I think the story fizzles out towards the end. In the UK Tuesdays is cheap cinema day and it was a good choice for the price.

I really need to see this movie. I enjoy movies about crime so I supposed this is right up my alley. I heard great reviews! It doesn't hurt that Emily Blunt is in the movie and I think she is a terrific actress, but also that she plays a strong female lead

I loved Josh Brolin...in the Young Riders. An early 90's TV show.

So funny how you can stroll in a mall and not get mauled or casually walk in to an empty theater--but as soon as there's a show or walk going on it's madness!

Have you seen Narcos? It's a Netflix original series. It's amaaaaaaazing!

I love Emily Blunt, but I will probably wait until it comes on Netflix to see it. I don't get alone time being a stay at home mom and the hubs and I rarely get a date night. My hubby and I did get to go see The Martian a few weeks ago. It was a great movie, very well done. Matt Damon did an excellent job. If you haven't seen it, yet, I highly recommend it.

Yikes where does it cost $24 to go to the movies?!! (& I thought $10.50 was bad).

You went to the theater at Tower City and didn't invite me Zac?! Shame! I would love to know what else you checked out while you were in town.

We saw "Sicario" tonight. You were right about the acting being on point. Some scenes were difficult to watch but, it certainly is a believable and well put together film. I get what you mean about being heavy hearted when leaving the theater. The thought that stuff like this is actually happening in the world kind of makes me ill... It seems there are lots of blurred lines when it comes to good guys and bad guys... Anyway, great movie! Thanks for the tip!

I never seem to amaze myself how I focus on the wrong stuff in a blog. When I read the I found Ike with a popcorn and drink I was like awwww he didn't leave you hanging LOL then I read the rest of the post and got to the between 12-24 dollars depending where you live and I thought HOLY CRAP I would never see a movie if it was 24 bucks a ticket. Then I'm wondering if he meant thats with popcorn LOL I did read the whole thing but my brain must be wired wrong or something because I can't get over those prices LOL
For the record that would be the perfect movie for my hubby but we go to maybe 2 or 3 movies a year and we just saw The martian and for the record I loved that movie . but I have my heart set on seeing the last Hunger games movie. I don't even like how the series ends but because I saw all the other movies I want to see the last one LOL

Ok now I feel like a dork but I still thank lasalle2235 anyway because at least I can save a little face by saying OH. Duh. - with popcorn and a drink I can totally see the $24 thing. I always prefer the theater even over those awesome big screen TVs you can get these days because it's just so great to be immersed in your movie, without distractions or thoughts about what you ought to be doing instead, but $24 a pop before food would definitely put a cramp in my style ;-p

I think the only movie I'll be seeing in theaters anytime soon is Hotel Transylvania 2...my daughter will not stop asking to see it! However, If it's as cute as the first, I'm ok with it:)
