Gamer Survival Kit

Oct 06, 2015 | ZacHanson

Of all the things I do on tour to pass time Gaming is very high on the list.  Ever since I was a kid I have loved video games, I mean most kids do, and it is for good reason.  I think in my case I always like gaming partly because I was good at it.

“I’ll take all of you at the same time and only use my right elbow”

Ok not good like that… I am not even what people might consider “good” but good enough to stay on top of the leaderboards when playing the neighbor kids. Gaming helps pass the time, and focus the brain maybe a little to well.  As we hit the road I thought I would share my gaming rig as it stands.  I am carrying my Gear3 Xbox 360, my Xbox ONE a 20” monitor headset and everything I need to make it all go Boo Beep.  With the addition of a pelican case (this is one I just had sitting around… not sure why) I have a heavy but very mobile gaming setup.  The one element I am missing is a reliable internet connection for games like Destiny and Titan Fall but the good Lord knows that internet is just gonna be what it gonna be.

See that is what I should get my son for our road trip next summer.  But I fear he wouldn't even get out of the car to go to Lego land if we had that.

The reason why I always enjoyed the portable game consoles was bc I was able to carry them around and play games anytime I'd like... So this kit would have changed my life (or at least, my gaming life)!

Had to show this to my Mom... She always says that I carry my house around whenever I travel, so Mom... Zac knows best! ;)

I'm not sure I'd ever get that fancy with a mobile gaming system, but I learned the last few days that my laptop and I are BFF's and I can barely make it without being able to write, read, surf, or have the games that came with it. :|

Mobile gaming at it's best, that set up is awesome and I hope you get to make good use of it during the month of October!

I love video games too. I'm a Nintendo girl so I have a 3DS that I take wherever I go and its a great way to pass the time. Ever since I was a kid I loved playing video games. To me its just a lot of fun to play :)

Awesome set-up Zac. My husband has something similar to that for his laptop during travel. Never thought about doing it for the game consoles. I have the bag PS put out for their systems that we carry the PS3/4 in when we travel. I'm gonna miss my PS4 when I travel down to Atlanta soon, but it will be there when I get back home; well it better be LOL

We got my brother one a couple of years ago for Christmas - he loves it and loves the freedom for travel and gaming.  Sometimes it just doesn't make sense to cart around 6 pieces in order to game!  You should check out the youtube channel GeekandSundry!
