String Theory Album and Tour

Jul 26, 2018 | HANSON

At the beginning of this week we announced all the String Theory tour dates for 2018. The Hanson.net Pre-sale has been going all week, but starting tomorrow, most tickets will go on-sale to the public.  We have enlisted the help of renowned Engineer/Producer Jim Scott and are well underway mixing the String Theory album right now. Jim has been doing an amazing job melding the two worlds of band and symphony together really bringing the songs and David Campbell's arrangements to life. Starting this week, Hanson.net members have been able to pre-order the String Theory album which will be releasing this fall.

We are a week away from the second String Theory show, in Pittsburgh. We hope to see many of you there.

Isaac, Taylor and Zac

I asked a similar question in Help. I wanted to know if the "Piece Of String" Instrumental CD and "Theory Of Everything" DVD would be available on their own after the merchandise is sold out. I was told no... so I presume that something smaller and more specific like sheet music probably won't be available on it's own.

I'd like to get the band charts too.  Not gonna pay $300 for them though. :D  Maybe you could check Ebay later in the fall to see if anyone will sell them separately.

Same here. I’d love those charts. $300+ for those higher tiered packages is not happening though. :(

I'll be in DC in a few days, trying to get Philly together with some friends, and I'll be in Tulsa in May!

I ordered my Super-Happy-Everything Package a few days ago.... Happy early birthday, I guess (there's always a good reason for a Hanson Package!)

Now that we're going to be getting an instrumental CD though...will my dreams come true about an a capella release???

Hmmmmmmmm??????

One thing at a time though!  YAY String Theory!!

Oh gosh @readytolearn. I didn't think of my package as an early birthday celebration mine's in just over three weeks). I couldn't justify an extra 40 dollars postage for the lyric book but maybe I'll find it somewhere a few years from now.

@robinbond - I don't even compare shipping costs - I know the shipping is going to be expensive, but with everything being shipped from 3CG by 3CG, someone's gotta get paid.  I also know that I wanted all of the items being offered, except maybe the spyglass, but after ordering the package was sitting at my desk and was like "Oh, the spyglass can go right there next to my Galileo Thermometer..."  Sometimes it's just meant to be....

I know, but a jump from 28 dollars postage to 70 just for adding one item, together with an exchange rate of 13 to 1 dollar... as it is, I've worked out a plan to pay this back over three months. I'm not complaining. I know things need to be covered, and I know that HNET have gone to great lengths to lower the costs of packaging and postage. I can just hope that the book will be available somewhere individually one day.

I see your point.  I suppose when you factor in international shipping it makes things a lot different.  I tried it just for funsies and the difference from the $70 package and $320 package in shipping was about $12.  ...Seeing as the size of the box has to change and what they declare as being shipped/insurance.  It makes sense...    I hope you get to order the book somewhere in the future.

Just left the show at Wolf Trap.....wow! So unlike any other Hanson show I've ever seen. The audience may not have been on their feet, dancing their hearts out but it was a beautiful masterpiece that was much more of an intimate show than any I've seen. Sad there was no interaction with or time w/ the fans. But, it was an incredible & unique performance! Best part is it was the 2nd show of theirs in a row that I got to experience it w/ one of my best gal pals. Much love to everyone✌️

The crowd was on their feet, and dancing, it was annoying when other people are trying to enjoy an orchestral performance.
