It has been six years since the hit "MMMBop," but Hanson fans are die-hard. If you were driving past the Birchmere yesterday and saw hordes of young girls wrapped around the block, it was because Hanson was performing there last night.
Doors for the concert didn't open until 8 p.m. Friday, but that didn't stop fans -- tickets in hand -- from lining up at 9:30 a.m. yesterday (Some even camped out on Thursday night). By noon, more than 100 females had amassed with the goal of getting front-row seats in the 500-seat venue.
"I wish more acts had fans this devoted. There are [license] plates from Illinois, New Jersey and Ohio," the Birchmere's Michael Jaworek told us. "And no, I haven't seen any men standing in line."
