Hanson – Where did they go?

Once upon a time there were three young brothers and they were hitting it big, especially with their catchy tune “MMMbop”. But just as quickly as they had come forward, they disappeared again. Now they are back – and we met Isaac for a little chat.

You guys hit it big 7 years ago with the record “Middle of Nowhere”, but then you kind of disappeared. Why was that?

The thing is that we disagreed with our former record company about how our record and our sound should be. We had made a new album that we felt was finished, but the record company wasn’t satisfied with it. In the end it
resulted in us leaving the company.

What in the world have you been doing all these years?

After our less than great experience with our record company at that time, we decided that we wanted to have more freedom, and therefore we began building our own studio and started our own record company. And now we feel more like
we can give the fans something that is completely honest and 100% us, because there is no middle man.

You were really popular with the girls last time around. Do you think it’s the same girls that are still fans today?

We will probably get some new fans, but we also believe that some of the “old” ones are still hanging on. Even though we have developed, music-wise, we are still the same people, and our new record also has some qualities from our early music.

Let’s say that you guys hit it big again. Are you planning on disappearing once more, and then resurface a few years later?

No, definitely not. We now have much better conditions for doing what we love to do. We are definitely back to stay, and we promise that there will be lots of music from us in the years to come.
