Why did you choose to present your album Underneath live showing an acoustic performance?

"Actually there are two albums, in addition to Underneath (published in Italy at the end of January), we also recorded Acoustic Live, catching the better parts of the concerts we have done in America in the past few months. We chose the unplugged situation because it's the best we fit in: it permits a close contact with the audience and offers a different version of the songs from the cd. Voices and harmonies are our best characteristics and in this way they're put in evidence."

You called your label 3CG. What does it mean?

"Simply three car garage, to remember the garage where we started to play when we were kids, making our way between the parked cars and the scattered objects everywhere. In addition, we wanted a name that remembers our simple, genuine, direct music. Like the 50's and 60's music, when the band find themselves playing in garages."

Has your life changed during these years?

"We went from adolescence to maturity, and this brings lots of changes: phyical, mental and artistic. Our music today is more adult, but still keep that fresh flavor and the catchy melodies of that times. Taylor got married and has a son, Zac has grown up so much musically. Today we are a real band with a repertoire made up of ballads, rock songs and soul melodies."

Let's talk about Penny & Me, the new single. Does Penny really exist?

"Yes and no. The title is an homage to the famous Beatles' song Penny Lane, so a real Penny doesn't exist. But Penny represents all the girls from all over the world; the girls we love, with whom we would spend great hours."

So love is always in the top spot?

"Absolutely. It's the springs that makes the world go round, and falling in love is the most beautiful thing that can happen. But, and now it's about we've grown up, the tracks from the new album are also talking about other stuff. About valors to believe in, like friendship, family, an ideal. The song Believe can be an example."

How is the relationship with the fans?

"Fantastic. In Italy you have a very updated site. We always keep in contact with the guys by chat, forum, e-mails, because they are our point of reference. From the warmth they gave us in Italy we understand that they haven't forgotten us during these years."

"We will be touring in Europe in spring, and of course we'll come to Italy . See you soon."

It was 1997 when, thanks to the simple and catchy notes of MMMBop, Isaac(17/11/80), Taylor(14/3/83)and Zac(22/10/85) gave birth to a real musical phenomenon. Young, cute and nice they deserved the love of millions of teenagers, Then, after the successful album Middle of Nowhere, nobody heard anything about them.
