After a five-year absence on Mexican stages, the rock/pop group Hanson comes to our country to present their most recent production titled "Underneath". It can be heard on March 8 at a concert that forms just a part of their global tour, "Underneath World Tour."

In a press conference, Isaac, Taylor and Zac appeared to be very at ease and content with their fans' welcoming when they arrived in Mexico City: "It has been incredible. We have more bruises to show from our arrival yesterday. If it wasn't exciting, it certainly was a bit dangerous, but the truth is we are very excited that we could come to perform at Salón 21," Taylor stressed.

On being asked how their music has evolved, Isaac stressed that "the concept of our music evolving is fundamental for us. We have evolved in the past 13 years, 8 in a public way. When people listen to our music, we want their perception to be, 'This is familiar, I recognize this, but it's definitely different than what I thought it would be!" I believe that your audience changes with you and it's very important that you also change with them."

Performers of the hit "MmmBop" they added that really "we are actively supporting the idea of independent music, supporting bands, as we meet them, that believe in a group of fans that have been with them for a long time," said Taylor.

Regarding if they have ever contemplated in the future separating from the group, Zac mentioned that "Hanson will always be a group of three; Hanson's sound is created through these three people who play, sing and compose. Hanson's sound wouldn't be the same if one of the three was missing. On the other hand, of course, you could see one of us going to produce with other artists or make some other kind of musical venture, but we will simply always return to what is the core of this group."

"Underneath" is an album that includes 13 tracks, became known in 2004, featuring tracks like "Penny and Me", "Lost Without Each Other" and "Deeper". On the Top 200 charts it made it to 25 and it debuted at number 2 on the "Sound Scan Internet Sales Chart".

On March 6 they will perform at the Nascar Busch Series race where they will sing their national anthem. "We are always very proud to sing our national anthem, to represent our country. We have done it several times before, at the World Series, and another time at the Women's Soccer World Cup," Taylor noted.

After their performance in Mexico, Hanson will tour cities in Brazil, Argentina and Europe. And they may be in Acapulco this summer but "it still isn't a confirmed date, but with all the work that we are doing here in this moment is what motivates us to return to Mexico again. Plus we will surely return because next year we'll release another album we want to bring to fans live in concert because we believe it is important that they take in our music," emphasized Isaac.

Hanson súper alivianados

México, DF, 04 de marzo de 2005, (Leslie Varela/tvazteca.com).- Después de cinco años de ausencia en los escenario mexicanos, el grupo de rock pop Hanson llega a nuestro país para presentar su más reciente producción discográfica titulada “Underneath”, el cual podrá ser escuchado este 8 de marzo en un concierto que forma parte de su gira mundial “Underneath world tour”.

En conferencia de prensa, Isaac, Taylor y Zac se mostraron muy alivianados y contentos por el recibimiento de sus fans cuando arribaron a la Ciudad de México: “ha sido increíble, tenemos más número de moretones para probarlo de nuestra llegada de ayer si no fue emocionante fue un tanto peligrosa y la verdad estamos muy emocionados de lo que pueda llegar a ser el concierto en el salón 21”señaló Taylor.

Al preguntársele cómo ha sido la evolución de su música Isaac señaló que “el concepto de evolución de nuestra música es fundamental para nosotros, hemos evolucionado en estos trece años, 8 de manera pública, queremos que el tipo de percepción que alguien tenga cuando escuche nuestra música diga ¡esto es similar, esto lo reconozco, pero también tiene algo diferente que no creí que iba encontrar!, porque creo que también la audiencia evoluciona contigo y es muy importante también evolucionar con ellos”.

Los intérpretes del hit “MmBop” añadieron que actualmente “estamos apoyando activamente, la idea de la música independiente, ayudando a bandas -cuando las conocemos-, a que creen un grupo de fans, a que estén con ellos durante largo tiempo”, dijo Taylor.

En cuanto a si alguna vez tienen contemplada la idea en el futuro de separarse como grupo Zac mencionó que “Hanson siempre será un grupo de tres, el sonido de Hanson se crea a través de estas tres personas que tocan, cantan y compone, el sonido de Hanson no sería igual si uno de los tres faltara. Por otro lado, claro puedes ser que alguno de nosotros vaya a producir a otros artistas o haga cualquier otra aventura musical, pero sencillamente siempre regresaremos a lo que es la cuna de este grupo”.

“Underneath” es un álbum que incluye 13 tremas, se dio a conocer a mediados del 2004, en el que destacan los temas Peny and Me, “Lost without each other” y “Deeper”. Estuvo ubicado en el lugar 25 en las listas del top 200 y debutó en la segunda posición en las listas de “Sound Sacan Internet sales chart.

El próximo 6 de amrzo se presentarán en la carrera Nascar Bushd Seires donde interpretarán el himno de su país. “Siempre estamos muy orgullosos de poder tocar el himno de nuestro país, de representar a nuestro país, lo hemos hecho otras veces antes, una en la serie mundial de béisbol, y otra vez en la mundial de copa de fútbol femenil del año asado”, acotó Taylor.

Después de su actuación en México, Hanson recorrerá las ciudades de Brasil, Argentina y Europa y adelantaron que quizá estarán en Acapulco en verano “todavía no es una fecha confirmada, todo el trabajo que estamos haciendo aquí en este momento es lo que motivará a regresar una y otra vez a México, además seguramente regresaremos porque el próximo año sacaremos otro álbum y queremos llevarle a los fans los conciertos en vivo, porque creemos que es importante que se alimenten de lo que es nuestra música queremos que este trabajo es crucial", enfatizó Isaac.
