Papermag: Shout It Out Tour Diary Part III

Aug 18, 2010 |

On this latest installment of this tour blogography, I seem to be taking more pictures of inanimate objects. As we wander from town to town, you find yourself in random, sometimes strange, sometimes beautiful, and sometimes strangely beautiful places. The tour has taken us to some frequent tour stops like Milwaukee and Chicago (always favorites in our book) and a few cities we had not seen in some time like Omaha. In all cases, our enthusiasm has been met with more than equal volume and excitement from packed houses at every tour stop.

In St. Louis we were lucky to catch the St. Louis Arch as a foggy morning met the mid-day heat. In Kansas City, we came across some unexpected bagpiping...if that's what you call it.  Back in the southern heat of Memphis, we stopped by the music landmark SUN Studios - home of Elvis, Johnny Cash and many others for a moment of music reflection and snapshots. It was amazing standing in the doorway that Elvis first walked through before making his first recordings.

Couple fave shots are of the amazing Lego digital camera (really works), and a few shots of Isaac inside the beautiful Pabst Theatre in Milwaukee under the towering chandelier.

We're coming up on a mad week of back-to-back shows...after all that is what we're out here to do. Hope you like this week's snapshot of the journey. Enjoy!
