Now they want to be big

Hanson's drummer, who plays this Sunday in Rio, talks about the pain of growing up and tells that the public matured with the band.

In the past 3 years, fans have sighed while looking at Hanson's posters, wishing time had not passed by. That's because the vocalist Taylor, 21 years old, married and became a father. The brother and drummer Zac, 19, started to date, and the trio, completed by guitarist, Isaac, 24, has not released any albums during that period. A fruitful passing of time. Hanson left Tulsa, Oklahoma, relocated to New York City, went separate ways with their former record company, created their own in its place, and just released their best work: Underneath, with a tour that will stop in Rio this Sunday, for a once in a lifetime performance at Claro Hall.
"We have grown-up and evolved with the fans. This is a musician’s dream: make good music, so that people remember life’s good moments", says Zac. And also defines the new CD as "more acoustic and melodious", reminiscent of the band’s beginnings, when they played classics of rock and soul with pianos and acoustic guitars.
In concert, the audience will hear songs such as single Penny & Me, and dancing ballad Strong Enough to Break. "Of course it's good to have good looks, but that's not what we want to be remembered for." says Zac. Did you hear that girls?

Fast and Brave
Brave: With an attitude praised by the world of rock, the Hanson brothers created record company 3CG to produce and release their albums. "There's no vision of the future in the big companies", says Zac.
Internet: Acoustic versions of Underneath, both live and in the studio, have only been available on the band's website.
Fast: Zac's passions: fast cars and games. "I like what young people like".
Going out: "We want to have fun in Rio, at night and on the beach if there is time", says Zac.
Hurricane: Hanson took the world by storm in 1997, selling over eight million copies of Middle of Nowhere, with hit single MmmBop.
