LiveDaily: Hanson rolls out 'Shout It Out' summer run

Currently in the midst of their "Five for Five" sold-out New York concert series, pop-rockers  Hanson [ tickets ] have unveiled a lengthy US outing behind their forthcoming summertime release, "Shout It Out."

The trio already has a spring itinerary planned as part of the Bamboozle Roadshow, which starts with a May 1 gig at Bamboozle Festival in East Rutherford, NJ, and continues with eight more stops through a May 30 show in San Antonio.

The first leg of the official "Shout It Out" tour, which canvases the eastern US, gets underway July 21 in Buffalo, NY, and features support by Rooney. The second portion of the outing, which will include opening support from A Rocket To The Moon, begins Sept. 14 in Mesa, AZ, and concludes Oct. 1 in Boulder, CO. The band is currently finishing up the final four shows of the "Five of Five" concert series (4/27-4/29), which will feature the band performing each of its albums in their entirety. For Friday's performance (4/30), the final night of the series, the trio will debut its new full-length album, which is slated to hit retailers June 8.

The group wrote and produced the forthcoming effort themselves, with help a handful of special guests, including Funk Brothers bassist Bob Babbit and horn arranger Jerry Hey. The 12-track set will mark the band's third release on their own 3CG Records label.

A live preview of Hanson's new music--filmed during the recent tour--can be seen on the band's website. Hanson also plans to premiere more new music via live streaming events at the site through a new partnership with Livestream.com.

"Our band has always been fueled by a dynamic relationship with our fans, and the launch of live content with Livestream is going to open a new door for us to engage music fans wherever they are in real time," Taylor Hanson stated in a press release. "The live platform is where we think the future is for artists who want to really engage their fans."
