HANSON teams up with HelloGoodbye for fall outing

Aug 02, 2009 |

Pop rock trio Hanson will take time off from working on their fifth studio album to head out on a club tour alongside HelloGoodbye this fall.

The three brothers--Isaac, Taylor and Zac Hanson--will kick off the journey with a hometown show Sept. 30 in Tulsa, OK, before winding their way from coast to coast, stopping by clubs and theaters through the final concert Nov. 11 in Anaheim, CA. The itinerary--shown below--boasts one two-night stand slated for Oct. 11-12 in Chicago. Steel Train and Sherwood will provide opening support on the road trip.

With the in-progress record slated for a 2010 release, the Grammy-nominated group will give fans a taste of the new material with "Stand Up, Stand Up," a four-song EP that will be available at shows this fall. The tracks are special acoustic versions of new Hanson songs, plus one single from the new album entitled "Worlds on Fire."

Along with the concerts, the brothers will continue their Take The Walk campaign in partnership with TOMS Shoes. The trio, along with tour mates HelloGoodbye, will complete one-mile barefoot walks in each city on the tour schedule. Information about the walk events can be found at the cause's official
website.

The Hanson brothers rose to fame in the mid-'90s with their infectious hit single "MMMBop" from their 1997 major label debut, "Middle of Nowhere."
