The gig - at King Tut's next Monday night - is already a sell-out but the £15 tickets are being re-sold for up to £60 each on internet auction site ebay.
Hanson took the charts by storm seven years ago with their catchy hit MMMBop, and sold nine million albums - then seemed to disappear off the pop world's radar.
But far from going the way of all one-hit wonders, the three blond-haired boys from Tulsa - Taylor, Zac and Isaac - set up their own record label, 3CG, to control their music.
They've grown up into young men - Taylor is married with a two-year-old son - but many fans have stayed with them.
And the band are enjoying new success, with their infectious single MMMBop featuring in a TV advert for Wrigley's chewing sticks.
Glasgow girl Ashley Godley, 18, who first heard of the band when they appeared on C4's The Big Breakfast, said she would "sell her soul for a ticket".
She added: "I thought they were fantastic, all that blond hair and perfect white teeth, which you don't see in Glasgow. I guess you don't get too many Irn-Bru bars in Oklahoma where they grew up. I can understand why people are prepared to pay inordinate sums of money to see the boys.
"When I was 13 and fat I listened to their music and it made me feel good about myself. These boys played the soundtrack to my youth."
One American rock magazine writer explained the Hanson appeal in more direct tones.
"Isaac, 23, Taylor, 20 and Zac, 18, have gone from MMMBop to Mmmmanmeat. The girls aren't lobbing flowers and teddy bears on stage any more - they're tossing thongs and room keys."
