EMMA DAUMAS REALIZES HER DREAM
(A DUET WITH HANSON TO BE INCLUDED ON BAND'S FORTHCOMING CD)

Sometimes, the best things in life occur purely by chance.

Such was the case when Hanson were recently in London to perform a sold out show on their European Acoustic 2004 Tour. While setting the stage for their soon to be released 3rd studio album, "Underneath," the band were looking for a French artist to sing on a duet the band had written while recently on holiday in France.

Simultaneously, Emma Daumas had planned to travel to London to attend the show by Hanson, who are one of her very favorite artists. Emma, who recently won NRJ's Best New Artist award, was originally planning to attend the show in Paris two nights earlier but, due to a pre-existing commitment to promote her gold debut album, she was unable to see the band.

When representatives from Hanson's camp were informed of Emma's intention to attend the London concert, a meeting of the artists was quickly arranged backstage. Says Emma, "I was so nervous merely at the thought of meeting Isaac, Taylor and Zac, as I am a huge fan of their music. So you can imagine how I felt when they began playing me a song they had written and asked me to sing it with them!"

A creative bond between the artists quickly developed and within days, arrangements were made for Emma to fly to the band's home in Tulsa, Oklahoma in early January 2005 to record the song. The result is the elegant and appropriately-titled "Someone (Laissons nous une chance)," in which each artist sings in both French and English.

Of the opportunity to work with Emma, Isaac Hanson, who sings lead vocals on the track, says, "It was immediately evident to us upon meeting Emma that she was a very special artist. She was exactly the singer we had in mind when we wrote the song and we were thrilled when she agreed to come to America to record the song with us."

The track will be included as an exclusive song on the French-version of Hanson's highly anticipated new CD, "Underneath," to be released in France on February 21st. "Someone (Laissons nous une chance)" is planned to be the second single to be released following the debut single, "Penny & Me," which is currently receiving radio and video play throughout France. Celebrating their CD release, Hanson will make a special in-store appearance at FNAC Montparnasse at 17:30 on Tuesday, February 22nd. The in-store will feature a special mini acoustic performance. A full electric European tour is also currently in the works which will include a date in Paris at Grand Rex on March 30.

True to the sentiment of the song itself, great things happen when creative artists take chances.
