Brothers Isaac, Taylor and Zac spoke about the evolution the group has endured in passing years. They assure that they are surprised by the public’s response.

Even from the basement of Tower Records the shrieks of the crowd waiting for Hanson’s showcase can be heard. Isaac Taylor and Zac grab a bite to eat and while they wait until show-time they chat about how much they like Mexico now that they are launching their new disc Underneath.

A few fans have been waiting since yesterday to get into the mini concert and a few others have been following them since they arrived at the airport. What would you say to them?
Zac: It’s incredible to think that someone would do all of that just to see you. It’s a sign that you’re doing things well.
Isaac: We never expected the welcoming that we had at the airport and the only thing we can say is that they are a part of all of this; the fans are a part of Hanson.

Why do you think they love you so much?
Isaac: I hope that it’s because they like our music…I don’t believe it’s because of us physically.
Zac: The truth is that we’ve grown together. Our music has been a part of their lives and they have been in ours through concerts and every time they listen to our albums.

Are the Hanson boys very different from the Hanson of today?
Zac: I don’t think so, we’re still three brothers who write and play music because they love it, who enjoy every time they go on stage.
Isaac: The only difference is that now we are taller, ha ha. No, seriously, I believe that yes, our music has evolved. It’s more profound and we talk about different things, but we’re still a fun group that likes to play music. Now we are more free, we don’t have a group of managers that tell us what we have to do all the time.

Is it hard to be together all the time, between being at home, on tour and in the studio?
Zac: The reality is that we aren’t always spending that much time together. We like totally different things and we each do what we want to do. When we go home we don’t have the obligation to spend time together, but when we do we have a great time.

What can Mexican fans look forward to in the future?
Zac: The same care that they have for us.
Taylor: We promise more songs and concerts.

Have you thought about retirement at any point?
Taylor: Of course not. This is just the beginning of Hanson.

Los hermanos Isaac, Taylor y Zac hablaron de la evolución que ha sufrido el grupo al paso de los años; aseguran que les sorprende la respuesta del público

Hasta el sótano de Tower Records llegan los alaridos del público que espera el showcase de Hanson. Isaac, Taylor y Zac comen algunos bocadillos y mientras esperan la hora de subir, platican de lo mucho que les gusta México ahora que están presentando su nuevo disco Underneath .

Algunas fans se quedaron desde ayer para tener un lugar en el mini concierto y algunas otras vienen siguiéndolos desde el aeropuerto, ¿qué les pueden decir?
Zac: Es increíble pensar que alguien puede hacer todo eso para verte. Es una señal de que estás haciendo bien las cosas.
Isaac: Nunca nos esperamos la recepción que tuvimos en el aeropuerto y lo único que podemos decir es que ellos son parte de todo esto, las fans son parte de Hanson.

¿Por qué creen que los quieren tanto?
Isaac: Espero que sea porque les gusta nuestra música... no creo que sea por nuestro físico.
Zac: La verdad es que crecimos juntos; nuestra música estuvo presente en su vida y ellos han estado presentes en nuestra vida a través de los conciertos y cada vez que escuchan nuestros discos.

¿Los niños Hanson son muy distintos a los Hanson de hoy?
Zac: No lo creo, seguimos siendo tres hermanos que escriben música y tocan porque les gusta, que disfrutan cada vez que se suben a un escenario.
Isaac: La única diferencia es que ahora somos más altos, ja, ja. No, en serio, creo que nuestra música sí ha evolucionado, es más profunda y hablamos de otras cosas pero seguimos siendo un grupo divertido al que le gusta tocar música. Ahora somos más libres, ya no tenemos un grupo de managers que nos dice todo el tiempo lo que tenemos que hacer.

¿Es difícil estar todo el tiempo juntos, tanto en la casa como en las giras y el estudio?
Zac: En realidad no estamos tanto tiempo juntos. Nos gustan cosas totalmente distintas y cada quien hace lo que quiere. Cuando llegamos a casa no tenemos la obligación de pasar tiempo juntos, pero cuando lo hacemos disfrutamos mucho.

¿Qué pueden esperar las fans mexicanas en el futuro?
Zac: El mismo cariño que ellas nos tienen.
Taylor: Prometemos más canciones y conciertos.

¿En algún momento han pensado en el retiro?
Taylor: Claro que no. Esto apenas es el inicio de Hanson.
