Hanson: "We don't want to be made of plastic."

Breaking the silence with "Underneath"

After five years away from stages, the group Hanson returns to our country as part of their world tour Underneath, the title name of their new production. With it they want to have a wide effect and not be considered as "plastic" artists, as they so declared before their show on March 8 at Salón 21. Two days prior to the show they sang the United States' national anthem at the Nascar Series taking place at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.

"At the present, pop music has two different aspects; one with a style like Britney Spears and the other like N'Sync with a hip-hop sound. We want to mix it with the influence of rock and roll to achieve a privileged place, being able to recover what has somehow become lost" stressed the blonde ones who include our country among their legion of admirers, especially the young girls.

Upon referring to their musical retreat, the three brothers said that it was due to many different things, one of them being, and perhaps the most important, the lack of support from their record company. This led them to decide to open their own label and also the desire to help other groups seeking to fall in public favor.

The young musicians explained they are currently working hard with the intention of reclaiming the path of music that has led them to create tracks like Penny & Me, Lost Without Each Other and the now aired Deeper.

At the present, Clarke Isaac is 23, Jordan Taylor is 20 and Zachary Walker is 18; ages that reflect greater maturity in their answers, just like in their music.

It happens that on this latest production Hanson fills the role of producers while also relying on support from important celebrities like Greg Wells (composer for artists like: Michelle Branch), Bob Marlette (composer for Marilyn Manson and Alice Cooper), John Shanks (composer for Melissa Etheridge and Sheryl Crow) and Çdanny Kortchmar (composer for Don Henley and Billy Joel).

Finally, Hanson appeared grateful to the Mexican public, which they assured they have always received unconditional support from and for whom they signed autographs at a well known record store in an important shopping center in Satélite.
