The frontal attack to the record companies, the new album, the acoustic tour all around the world and the private life, The Hanson brothers come back to say stop to that annoying buzz.....
Don't say you have never sang something from them. Isaac is 24, Taylor 21, Zac 17 . (what are thay sayin'?). They're Hanson, the MMMBop guys.
A catchy hit and global success. Now they're back stronger than ever. We haven't seen them for a long time, the most skeptical critics had already put them among the one hit wonders. Instead they continued to make music, and , after some problems with their ex-label, they came back with "Underneath", the new album. More enerigizing than ever.
" Guys, it's been a while since you were at the top of the charts and on every magazine's cover....."
Taylor- It's been a long time. And many things have changed:not only our music, we've grown, our faces are different, as are our looks. Well, time passes and you change.
Isaac- Even though, as regards our music, the way we play isn't so different.
"What happened? Why did you disappear for such a long time?"
T- We would never disappear in this way, if we could. The question is that they tried to exploit us.
"Who?"
T- Our record company. The record companies tell you how to do, oblige you to make records one after the other, make you follow a series of processes that have nothing to do with with the artistic sense of music.
I- We're not machines,we have our lives, we don't produce and stop.
T- The record companies should look for valid singers and think about fans and live performances. Not only about earning money. Acting this way they're ruining music!
"You chose the way of the self production. How are things going?"
I- Well! We do what we want, with no hurry: and this long acoustic tour, in the USA and then in Europe, wouldn't be possible if we were still related to a big record company.
T- We chose lots of little venues all over the world, we want to regain our relationship with our fans, have a direct contact with them. And now we sell more tickets than we did when we were in the Top40.... and this explains lots of things about the music business.
"You founded a label: will you produce also for other bands?"
I- the idea of producing other bands' stuff is interesting, we'll be a record company which invests in artists, follows them, cares about them, helps them grow, maintaining a human relationship with them.
"In the meanwhile you, Taylor, you had the time to marry and set up house...."
T- Yes, two years ago I married and had a son: I can't wait until he will be old enough to come with me and my wife on the road.
