2nd Annual MOEY Awards at HANSON DAY 2016!

The MOEY awards were started in 2015 as a way to highlight creative and extraordinary members of the Hanson.net community. Awards are given in a variety of categories, from being an outstanding member of the community to the most entertaining performance in a music video. Depending on the category winners are selected either by the members of HANSON and the 3CG team or voted on by the Hanson.net community. The 2016 MOEY Awards will be presented present to the winning Hanson.net Members during the State Of The Band talk at HANSON Day 2016 in Tulsa, OK on May 20th. May the best fan win.

SOLO MUSIC VIDEO

Pick a song from one of HANSON’s six studio albums, setup in your bedroom with a smart phone, or rent a sound stage and hire a world-class film crew, then make your own music video. Videos should strive to be creative, entertaining, well executed and when possible have the performer singing the correct lyrics.

Entry Qualifications

• Must feature a song from one of HANSON’s official studio albums.
       Middle Of Nowhere
       This Time Around
       Underneath
       The Walk
       Shout It Out
       Anthem
• Video can only feature one person or creature performing the song
• Video must tag #HANSONMUSIC
• Video must be titled MOEYs 2016 Solo Music Video: Name of Individual
• Videos must be posted on YouTube by April 22nd at 11:59 pm CT
• Videos must receive at least 100 views by April 22nd at 11:59 pm CT
• Fill out the entry form found HERE
• Videos will be reviewed and selected by HANSON
• Finalists will be posted on Hanson.net for voting
• Limit one(1) entry per person

GROUP MUSIC VIDEO

Pick a song from one of HANSON’s six studio albums, call a friend, your office softball team or hire a marching band. Setup in your living room with a smart phone or rent a sound stage and hire a world-class film crew then make your own music video. Videos should strive to be creative, entertaining, well executed and when possible have any and all performers singing the correct lyrics.

Entry Qualifications

• Must feature a song from one of HANSON’s official studio albums
       Middle Of Nowhere
       This Time Around
       Underneath
       The Walk
       Shout It Out
       Anthem
• Video must feature two or more people or creatures performing the song.
• Videos must be posted on YouTube by April 22nd at 11:59 pm CT
• Videos must receive at least 200 views by April 22nd at 11:59 pm
• Video must tag #HANSONMUSIC
• Video must be titled MOEYs 2016 Group Video: Name of Group

MVP

HANSON has amazing members all over the world. We want to recognize exemplary members of the community who have gone above and beyond  to spread the word about HANSON, support other Hanson.net members and are simply outstanding representatives of the community. 

Entry Qualifications

• Choose one Hanson.net member that you feel has gone above and beyond
• E-mail the Hanson.net member’s full name and Hanson.net username to hnetcontest@hanson.net with the subject “HNET Member MVP”
• Tell us why they should be given the award in 1-300 words highlighting any notable, great things about this person as an exemplary representative of the community
• Include all text within the email, no attachments
• Please do not include any photos
• Entries must be received by April 22nd at 11:59pm CT
• Finalists will be posted on Hanson.net for voting
• Voting will be open to active Hanson.net members

BEST COVER SONG

We want you to share your musical talents. Pick a song from one of HANSON’s official albums or EPs, record it on your smart phone or go into a professional studio and post it as a video on YouTube. Whether you recreate or reinvent a HANSON song is up to you. Quality and creativity is the name of the game and singing the correct lyrics never hurts.

For years people have claimed to be the fourth member of HANSON. Now is your chance to deliver your 15-second elevator pitch for the job. videos can be funny, straight to the point, or pure pie chart, what matters is will it get you the job. Why should you be the fourth member of HANSON?

Have a photo that is out of focus, photo bomb or awkward face with HANSON? The name of the game is the worst photo that includes you and one or all of the members of HANSON.

BEST ALBUM COVER DESIGN

Pick one of HANSON’s six studio albums and develop your concept for an alternate album cover.  Whether you create a painting, a digital design, build an iconic collage or use your photographic skills and recreate This Time Around with cats it’s up to you. Designs should strive to have a creative theme, be well executed and when possible use the correct spelling.
