The FUTURE IS Coming!

We are getting very close on a new design of Hanson.net, and I thought this might be a nice time to share a few screen caps of the new look, so maybe all of you can feel some of the excitment I do about the new design.
There are three major things we wanted to do with the new design, that hopefully will make it more enjoyable to spend time on the site.
- Mobile Friendly
- The current design is not very enjoyable to look at from your phone or tablet, or for that matter is it easy to browse if you have any visual difficulties. The new design is very high contrast, and browser responsive. That means whatever size your viewing window is, you get a customized experience. Phone check, Tablet check, small laptop check, giant desktop computer.... Get with the times man!
- Streamlined
- We want it to be easy to find whatever you're looking for, music, news, blog, concerts, events. We are sliming down the navigation, eliminating content divisions, and instead putting like with like. We think having fewer, fuller sections will give everyone a better experience.
- Clean Palette
- The last thing is the look. We have 25+ years of designs. Fonts, Photos and textures that all have to live together in one place. Between May and June alone we are celebrating HANSON Day 2020, Back To The Island 2021 on-sale, This Time Around's 20th anniversary and Shout It Out hitting the big 10 mark. It may seem plain to some, but having a clean palette that can host whatever art ideas come next was a big goal and we're feeling good about where we ended up.
We are by no means finished. Internal testing has just begun, followed by small batches of members joining the test team in June and then launch... well rather than using the S word (soon), I am just going to say the site will launch when it's ready.

I kind of like the simplistic and high contrast design. It'll fit well with whatever future themes that comes up. But - will we get content from years past?! I missed all of the FUTY's and they've never been added to this beta :(

I, for one, have never had a problem with HNET on any of my apple devices. That being said, I love the look of the new site, can’t wait for LAUNCH TIME 2.0

I like the simplified look. I'm curious to see potential forum changes (emojis, gifs, "likes," etc.) and hope people will get excited and come be more active!

There's so many positive comments about these preview screens, but I'm going to put in my 0.5 cents. This reminds me of the site from 1997 and again in ... 2008?

I'm going to echo a few others with requests that we don't lose our pins and have some more fun options for Forums. I also am excited actually be able to log in through my phone and not need to maximize the screen image just to hit the "Log In" button. :)

Looks amazing guys :) Just curious if there will be a way to reply to people in comments so you can be notified if someone replies to you and vice versa? Apologies in advance if I'm wrong but I think currently you can only get notified if people have written in the conversation at all but not if they reply to you?
