Cave Dweller!

Apr 22, 2019 | ZacHanson

The past few weeks have been very full!  Between the everyday planning that goes on looking forward to a new year and then the added intensity of this being a year focused on making "NEW MUSIC" (unlike the past few projects that  have been highly influenced by the catalog) and then it is all happening while working on paintings for the HANSON Day gallery and Edible Digital Pants... sigh (insert tired face here), all that said the gallery is done. Like always it is highly influenced by the projects of the moment, part Digital Pants, part In Real Life, part String Theory, but all Zac. There could always be more, but I hit 17 paintings and I said to myself that looks right.

Now that I am out from under the work, I will put together little online preview so you can see some of the finished art (not the “in process” stuff from Instagram).

In case anyone is thinking about it we are going to do some prints of everything like last year, as well as selling the originals.

I need something with robots and/or aliens as I love them, as well.

NEW MUSIC!! Those are my favourite words! :D

New music! Yay! Plus the acknowledgment that the focus has been on catalogue material. Really, some of us were starting to think that each less than half the world tour was going to have one new song.

"A year focused on making 'NEW MUSIC' (unlike the past few projects that have been highly influenced by the catalog)."

Thank you for specifying, Zac! That is *very* exciting.

Can’t wait to see what’s to come & can’t wait to see the paintings at the gallery :)

17 sounds like a logical number. Why would you do any other amount?

Looking forward to seeing more of the finished paintings! The in process stuff has been looking great!

Also; new music! Yay!! So excited to see what this year brings!

After seeing the portrait "peeks" of Taylor and yourself, I am curious to see one of Isaac.

Pour yourself a glass of wine ( or grab a beer ) and relax!

Looks like it’s been a productive hibernation if you can emerge with 17 finished paintings!  Can’t wait to see what you’ve come up with.

That mention of “NEW MUSIC” (in all caps) being the focus this year made me smile.  ...Any chance you’ve been reading the forums, Zac?  ;)

Anyway, thanks for posting.  It’s always nice to know what’s going on over at 3CG...

Could some of those prints be like a pre-sale online for those not there? I really hoped the painting you done of the three of you for 2017 would have made it but sadly, none have. :(

NEW MUSIC? I have to go change my pants now.

White_Tiger - I would love to see two or three prints go up for raffle for h.net members who can't make it to Hanson Day.   Make it a fund raiser for a Tulsa charity (Hanson's choice).  $ per ticket, video of the guys picking the winners posted on h.net, I think it could work...

@judy:

priority is given to those at hday. the gallery is for hday. there are some things that are exclusive to certain events and remain as such. for instance, the towels / shirts / bags / gifts given out at btti.

Thanks for always keeping us updated! Can't wait for HDay!

It's great to hear that this year is focused on new music. I guess the String Theory album wasn't as exciting for members since there were only 2 new songs (which i really love btw). It's awesome that we get the EP of new music every year... but there can never be too much new music! Last years EP was so so good, I'm really looking forward to hearing In Real Life soon! And I'm so glad that you keep doing your solo musical projects too because it shows you still have such a passion for the music.
