The winter is still upon us across the western hemisphere from the snow drift covered streets of NY to even those of the Southern Californian valleys, many this week are getting a touch of weather.
One of the great things that can come from blustery day is a chance to listen to a great record which can envelope you like a good book.
Today we have spatial audio in HD, but the original spatial audio was a warm LP on a proper stereo, sitting cross legged in your living room.
The way the records sounded (and still do) are just a bit easier on the ears. The top edge of bright high end is softened and the round extra low is scooped up in a lovely nest of sound.
Our early years hearing music on the record player was everything from Billy Joel's 52nd Street to Three Dog Night and of course during the holidays an inescapable Perry Como record.
While we have been reflective on the site with many of Taylor’s Stories, a bit of cool weather further brings the reflective feelings on some of our favorite sonic memories.
This week, we wish you a sonic escape to remember the power of a great series of songs and a departure from the ADD world. We hope this week you get to sit still long enough to remember the sounds you love between track seven and 8 and all the tunes in between, maybe even remember what it’s like to discover a man from Milwaukee (or Albertane) on the track at the end of the road.
Have a great week and thanks for listening.
