HANSON: Holiday Playlist

The HANSON shop is taking a breather down at the studio and the office, but we are all at work for our gifting and elf duties. We’re not sure exactly when it became the tradition it is today, but we know like so many of you that a playlist of classic Christmas tunes helps tie it all together.
Three decades ago when we were still yet unknown to many, we had our family traditions of Perry Como, Nat King Cole and Bing Crosby, peppered in with the rock 'n' roll Christmas classics. These are still in the holiday playlist, but we never would have predicted that here in 2025 that our band of brothers would have two complete Christmas records and as a result we get to be a part of a lot of other family Holiday traditions.
Check out this week's story as Taylor takes us off the beaten path and into a snow drift, reflecting on the epic and quite frigid tour across Canada during one of the coldest times of year, back in 2012. It was a cold one but the snow could not stop the rock.

I have a huge collecting of Christmas CDs. Today, I listened to Windham Hill and Trans Siberian Orchestra and Mannheim Steamroller and Frank Sinatra. And Snowed In, of course! Happy listening!

Yes of course I have both Hanson Christmas albums on my playlist! Plus some Christmas deep cuts like “Christmas ball” & “My favorite Christmas Sweater.” But a non Hanson must have for me is The Trans-Siberian Orchestra “Christmas Canon” I absolutely love the children’s voices. It was also my mom’s favorite. She passed a week after Christmas in 2023 💞
