Hanson Explain How Their Sophomore LP Charted the Course For Their Adult Years

Following our Billboard staff-picked list of the 100 greatest songs of 2000, we're writing this week about some of the stories and trends that defined the year for us. Here, we look back at This Time Around, the stellar second from Oklahoma brother trio Hanson -- who were the biggest all-male pop group in America in 1997, but by 2000 had priorities that didn't include competing with *NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys on TRL.
And we won’t go down. It is the refrain of the title track to Hanson’s sophomore album, This Time Around, but it is also a lyric -- like many on that record, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this May -- that speaks to a larger narrative of fighting for something you believe in.

I loved this article. Brought back memories from that year. This is one of my favorite albums of many. Maybe that announcement on the 6th will include something about this anniversary and have something going on with the songs from that album. Can't wait to find out!

I loved the article! This time Around is one of my favourite songs, and album, can’t believe it’s 20 years old! I still listen to it regularly and it still sounds as good as it did 20 years ago!

Fabulous article about the album This Time Around and what was "going on" at that time for Isaac, Taylor & Zac .
I am very curious about the songs done with Ric Ocasek ----maybe someone will bring one our for a little fresh air during his Quaranstream Basement Tour.....
