What does everyone think about developing beer that has "notes" that tell a story, like fragrances do? Like finding ways to add more oak notes in a beer meant to reference a place and time or lavender notes for a more subdued or melancholy kick? How about beers that "represent" songs?

I love the idea of themes and references. I can't picture lavender in a beer, or lavender without the perfume element really. Beers to represent songs sound really great. Seems like it gives you a whole other chance to put a listener where you meant to take them with a song.
