Hey Everyone, I was reading the "Walk Around the Wolrd" page, and I was rather inspired by the fact Hanson are going to donate $1 for everyone that registers and shows up to take a barefoot walk with them. It kinda got me thinking... What if we attempted to match their giving? It'd just be $1 each, but it would really add up. I'm not sure what the next step would be, but I was wondering if anyone else would be up for promoting the idea and seeing what happens. Thoughts? Suggestions? |

so should we start promoting the idea? is there someone we can email to have them put something on the website so we can donate when we register? I can't imagine it would be that hard to add it - especially because takethewalk.net (or whatever it's going to be) wont be launched until August...

that idea is incredible! We should find someone (like Leigh) to get this idea to Hanson. That way someone could be designated to take up the money the night of the particular show! it's a lovely idea. everybody would donate a dollar, no question about that. we spend so much useless bucks on stupid things that I guess one dollar is the least we can donate. :)

I think that is an amazing idea!!! I'm sure that wherever we sign up if we just say we'd like to match Hanson's donation they'd probably take care of it! Hopefully!

I really think they should have a donation option (unless they do already). I would definitely donate more than $1 and my employer (I'll just say it, it's Starbuck's) will match whatever I donate to a charity or movement like this.

I think that's a really good idea. Maybe there could be some sort of jar to put money in when you sign that sheet at the end of the walk? Wait, that might be a little too complicated to deal with, especially with everyone vying for a spot at the table to sign the sheet the fastest to get back in line.
