I read the 4 books in a week. Which is so nerdy of me!! LOL but it was a great saga! I Couldn't tear my eyes off the books... Come to thin kabout it, I read them so fast that I couldn't really savor them... I might read them again soon! LOL

The movie comes out on December 12th! I'm waiting anxiously for that!

Im so Edward it isnt even funny, I freakin love him. Stephenie Meyer did a beautiful job creating his charactor, he is so real to me.

And I agree there is just something about a polite, charming, humorous, patient, gorgeous blood-sucker that leaves desire.

Jake Shmake...as far as Im concerned.

I donno why but when I read them I pictured edward to be like Taylor, Emmet to be Isaac and Jasper to be Zac (but he didn't really relate much) But yeah.... weird huh? Did anyone have this weird freakishly hansony fanfiction type of syndrome?

So the copy of "Twilight" that my boyfriend ordered from the library came in today, and I started reading it this evening.  I'm on page 150 so far, but I'm obviously gonna wait until I'm finished to discuss it!

Hi Gina!!!  Finally, someone who might not ignore me.  I've posted about 20 times lately, and pretty much been totally blown off.  Some things never change...;)

See you soon!!!

Honestly, I try and add some logic to posts, hoping it actually starts a discussion, but it never goes anywhere.  I'm about to change my name to ThreadKiller.  Good luck to you--keep posting!

I'm on about page 400 of "Twilight" right now and I have to say that it hasn't FULLY grabbed my attention yet.  =X  But I was at a coffeeshop reading the book this morning, and one of the employees came over and started chatting with me, and told me that I should give the 2nd and 3rd books a chance regardless, because those are the books that sucked her in.

It's not the best writing ever.  It's fanfiction-ish (Bella is very Mary Sue to me).  But, it was a fun read, and I read all the books and was actually pretty excited for that last one.

And the last one, well, it was a bit different, but still pretty darn satisfying!

Ahhh I love these books!  I'm reading Eclipse right now (I just started the series last Friday).  Only I'm sort of irritated by Bella!  She is so needy and she just lets Edward boss her around all the time!!  I want her to start standing up for herself!!  Like who does Edward think he is, telling her she can't spend time with Jacob?  She can hang out with a vampire but not a werewolf????  Yikes!

I think I'm probably the only one, but I wish she would dumb the bloodsucker and get with Jake!

If anyone is interested, I found out just a few minutes ago that Robert, Kristen, and Taylor will be presenting at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 7.

I'm so excited that more and more people are reading the books!  Def. tell us what you think when you're finished!  I was thinking that if SM wrote Midnight Sun (form E's POV), she might write more books "by" the Cullens.  I can totally see an Alice book...

Are you kidding?! Those books aren't good at all!! >O

They're AMAZING!

XD

It's sad though that Stephenie Meyer feels she won't continue to finish Midnight Sun because some jerk leaked it to the public. T_T

I can't even get started in this thread.  If i do I will be here all day!

Love the books, love the characters, can't wait for the movie to come out.

I have always been a fan of vampire stories.  I read Dracula for a Gothic novel class and Le Fanu's Camilla and that is when i fell in love with Vampire Tales.

Shannon, if you LOVE vampire tales I suggest you read Dracula and Carmilla.  Also, Dracula's Guest by Bram Stoker is awesome too!

I am reading Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice now and I am LOVING it...it just stinks that I don't have as much time as I would like to delve into it.

I got my mom reading the Twilight series. She is halfway through and in love with Edwerad. How awesome is my mom?!

Never had a meet and greet, but had something better - Montclair, NJ 11/1  -- Thank you! Wink

If you like vampires, you should read "Just Another Victim"--it's online ;)
