Free Rice (A computer game for a good cause...)

Hi... I just wanted to let you all know about a website called Free Rice. At the website, you can play a vocabulary game... and for each word you get correct sponsors like Unilever will donate 20 grains of rice to the UN World Hunger Program. One of my professors has checked into it... and it is a legitimate cause. In fact over 40 billion grains of rice have been donated so far.

i love that site i donated like 3,000 grains of rice in a few hours that site makes a real difference i think they said they donated more than 40 billion grains of rice!! its amazing |

The most I've contributed in one sitting was 5,000 grains. I just take random breaks at work to relieve some stress, and help people at the same time! :) There are also two sites that donate free kibble to dogs and cats. All you have to do is answer one multiple choice question a day (doesn't matter if you get it wrong) for a 20 piece donation. A little girl thought of this based off of the free rice website to help out animals in shelters! I think it's great!
